It takes courage and vulnerability to reach out for help when you need it. For a young adult or teen who is challenged with anxiety and uncertainty of the future. For a new parent feeling the weight of the world while juggling care for your new child, family roles and career. For the adult who is overwhelmed with stress due to depression, employment issues, relationship problems or loss. For those that turn to substances or other addictions to escape aspects of life. Therapy can provide the support and the space to navigate the complexities of life.
Change is hard but you do not have to do this alone. I can help you sort through the problems you're facing and help you change your life.
Approaches in Therapy:
I am an experienced, intergrative therapist who uses several modalities based on what would best serve you, the client. I place the greatest importance on the therapeutic relationship between me, as your therapist, and you, as my client. I work to assist you in finding and meeting your goals and will use my training and experience to best serve you.
I am trained in evidenced based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Biofeedback. I also utilize skills from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to assist with connecting with and repairing the self. I also am trained and certified in Patrick Carnes' task model of treatment for addictions and utilize this model for various addictions and disorders.
I am currently taking new patients as a primary therapist and as an adjunct to an existing therapy relationship.
I am available to offer supervision for clinicians working toward becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and for ongoing supervision needs.
I am currently accepting clients who are interested in group therapy for healing from parental emotional abuse and neglect.
